CCTV images show murdered man

POLICE investigating the murder of a 25-year-old man have released CCTV images showing his movements hours before his body was discovered.

Officers found Graeme Melville’s body when they were called to an address in Smyllum Road, Lanark, at about 4am last Thursday.

The CCTV images show him walking in Thomas Taylor Avenue, near Woodstock Road, at about 3am.

Detective Chief Inspector Louise Raphael said: “It is now one week since Graeme was murdered and I am re-appealing to anyone who may have any information about Mr Melville’s movements in the hours leading up to his death to contact me as soon as possible.

“I am convinced that the local community hold the key to this investigation.”
