Case study: ‘A texture like carpet underlay’

LOOKING like a fairly normal pair of body-sculpting pants from the front, it is the padded rear of the undergarment which is most unusual.

With a texture not unlike carpet underlay, the hefty padding seems incongruous with a part of the body which most women are trying to slim down.

Even before I slipped them on for the road test, the pants attracted a lot of interest. “Where are you supposed to wear it?” asked one rather confused male colleague.

Pants in place, my newly inflated rear and I sashayed up the office.

“I think I prefer you as you usually are,” said a workmate. While, perhaps for the very flat-bottomed, I can see the appeal, I think I have to agree with him.
