Car spaces in Currie plans

A COMPROMISE is expected to be reached over the contro-
versial development of an engine shed in Currie.

Villagers had complained they would lose an unofficial car park under plans by Teviot Creative to transform the historic building into its new headquarters.

However, it is understood that a plan which would see four public car parking spaces remain and a walkway to the Water of Leith widened is close to being put in place.

Pentland Hills councillor Bill Henderson said: “It’s a good result.”
