Capital gets prepared fir Christmas

A GIANT Christmas tree was erected at The Mound yesterday as the city moved ahead with its festive preparations.

Standing at more than 20 metres tall and weighing three tonnes, the tree will tower over Princes Street, forming the focal point of the much-loved annual decorations.

The tree was donated to the Capital by Hordaland Community Council from Bergen, Norway.

It will have around 2500 bulbs and will be officially illuminated on November 24.
