Operation Adrenalin focuses on dealing with local concerns about dealers in communities.

Since it was launched three months ago, officers have seized around 30,000 worth of drugs, including heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine, cannabis, and various prescription drugs.

Almost 10,000 worth of cash has also been seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Officers have also seized three complete hydroponics systems, which are used in the cultivation of cannabis.

As part of the operation, 34 people have been arrested and charged in connection with various drugs charges including possession, possession with intent to supply, and being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Detective Inspector Andy McLaughlin said: "This successful operation has taken a large amount of drugs off our streets and out of our communities.

"We are dedicated to tackling drug activity at a grass roots level, since we know that any low level offending can spiral into increasingly destructive criminal behaviour."
