Cancer charity seeks to recognise ‘little stars’

FAMILIES of children with cancer in the Lothians are being invited to nominate their child for a special award that recognises their courage.

Recipients of Cancer Research UK’s Little Star Award receive a trophy, a £50 TK Maxx gift card and a certificate signed by a host of celebrities including pop sensation Leona Lewis, sporting heroes Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis as well as Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.

Linda Summerhayes, Cancer Research UK’s spokeswoman for Scotland, said: “The Little Star Awards are special because every child nominated is given an accolade. Each and every child who faces cancer is special and we would welcome award nominations from parents throughout the Lothians.”
