Campaigners hail ID movie

CAMPAIGNERS fighting the introduction of ID cards in the UK have welcomed the premiere of a film in the Capital to support their cause.

Erasing David will be screened at the Cameo, in Tollcross, on 29 April, revealing "alarming truths" about what the government and private companies know about residents across the country.

Dr John Welford, the NO2ID Edinburgh co-ordinator, said: "Erasing David provides a glimpse of just how bad things are and how much worse they will become if we don't win back control of our data – and our lives."
