Campaign to respect shop employees

LIVINGSTON Labour MP Graeme Morrice has backed a campaign aimed at ensuring the public treat shop workers with respect.

Respect for Shopworkers Week, which runs until tomorrow, is run by shop workers’ union Usdaw to highlight the abuse faced by shop workers.

Mr Morrice said: “Sadly, shop workers are particularly vulnerable to abuse in the run-up to Christmas. The small minority of customers who are abusive should face the full force of the law.”
