Call for more foster carers

A DRIVE is under way to find more foster carers in the city.

The city council is to hold a series of drop-in sessions to offer more information about fostering as it aims to address a shortage of carers.

Foster care recruitment staff and carers will be at the council’s Waverley Court offices, in East Market Street, on Thursday from 5-7pm.

Families convener Councillor Paul Godzik said: “Providing support and care for a child is certainly one of the most important jobs an individual can do.”
