Call for cash to go on potholes

A CITY firm has called on the Scottish Government to re-invest money saved with the early completion of the new M74 extension on repairing the country's potholes.

Eagle Couriers welcomed the new motorway, but said its vans were continuing to use roads "severely damaged" by potholes.

One of the firm's directors, Jerry Stewart, said: "It would only be right to re-invest the money and repair Scotland's roads which are in dire need."
