Businessmen peak to raise £25k for kids

THREE city businessmen who climbed one of the world's highest mountains have raised almost £25,000 for a city charity.

Mark Little and his friends Colin McKay and John Macdonald scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation. The trio had to brave temperatures of as low as -15C.

Mr Little, 46, managing director of Barclays Wealth in Scotland, said: "The weather was unbelievable, ranging from 35 degrees heat to minus 15 at night.

"We had sun, rain, snow, sand storms, all the seasons in one day, like a typical Scottish day really.

"Although the climb is not technical, the lack of sleep and the altitude made it the most physically demanding thing I have ever done."
