Budding filmmakers to get expert advice

EMERGING filmmakers are to be given the chance to learn from top industry players at an event organised by the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The festival’s Talent Lab, which is returning for a second year, will see up-and-coming directors, screenwriters and producers join in group discussions and networking events with industry insiders at the Traverse Theatre.

A select group of Scottish producers will also be offered the opportunity to attend the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Chris Fujiwara, EIFF artistic director, said: “The Edinburgh International Film Festival is strongly committed to discovering and supporting emerging talent.

“We’re proud to announce the second year of our Talent Lab, which is our major vehicle for fulfilling this vital mission.”
