Boy rescued in tide scare

COASTGUARDS rescued an 11-year-old boy after he became trapped by rising tides.

The child, from Buckinghamshire, was playing on a beach in South Queensferry when he became trapped. He managed to reach a nearby pipeline and clung on until he was rescued.

The lifeboat from South Queensferry was launched at around 2pm yesterday as he was at risk of falling in the water.
