Boy, 15, arrested for '˜jumping on police car' during Celtic parade

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly jumping on top of a police car during Celtic's victory parade yesterday.

Police Scotland confirmed the the boy had been arrested and charged after the incident, which is understood to have happened during the team’s homecoming procession after the Scottish Cup final.

A police spokesperson added: “The 15-year-old boy is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged vandalism and breach of the peace.”

Celtic fans turned out in huge numbers to hail the team shortly after Brendan Rodgers’ side had secured an historic double treble by defeating Motherwell 2-0 at Hampden Park.

The victory parade set off from Dalmarnock station at around 6.30pm on Saturday, finishing on the Celtic Way outside the club’s stadium.
