Botanics aid for Malaysia

EDINBURGH’s Royal Botanic Garden is helping to boost the profile of Malaysia as a centre for plant research.

The Capital institution launched the first Malaysian spice kitchen during the recent Science on a Plate festival.

Associate director of horticulture Leigh Morris said: “We are hoping to raise the profile of plants of Malaysia, and for Tourism Malaysia to raise the profile as a country for botanical research. It’s a win-win situation.”
