Boost for city jobs project

AN Edinburgh project which offers jobless young people football sessions alongside help with their CVs and job interviews is one of 24 schemes across Scotland to share in £3 million of Scottish Government funding awarded today.

Youth employment minister Angela Constance visited Street League in Sighthill to announce the grants, which the government claims will help over 2000 people into a job.

She said: “The Third Sector Challenge Fund forms part of our unique guarantee to 16 to 19-year-olds that all will be offered training or education.”
