Book your place for lots of library fun

Face-painting, juggling, a petting zoo, kite-making and a witches’ birthday party are on offer at city libraries from next week.

On Monday, the Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge is launching the Story Lab, an initiative encouraging children to get into the habit of reading.

Alongside lots of fun events every primary school pupil who registers for the project can collect rewards by reading six books over the holidays.

“Every child deserves the best start in life and getting stuck into reading will help to give them that.”
