Book festival in the black

LENNOXLOVE Book Festival contributed around £1.2 million to the Lothian economy.

Organisers of last month's festival say Haddington businesses benefited from the number of visitors to the area.

East Lothian Provost Sheena Richardson said: "Events like Lennoxlove Book Festival are not only a valuable cultural addition, but provide a tremendous boost to business in the area at a particularly quiet time of the year, as well as putting Haddington and East Lothian on a national stage."
