Bonnyrigg pan blaze beaten

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a kitchen fire in Bonnyrigg after a pan of food caught fire.

The fire broke out at a house on Polton Avenue Road just after 3pm yesterday. An 85-year-old woman suffering from smoke inhalation was treated at the scene but did not attend hospital.

The fire was extinguished before the crews arrived.
