Body recovered from River Clyde in search for Catalin Stan

Police Scotland say formal identification is still to take place, but family of missing Hamilton man have been informed.

A body of a man has been recovered from the River Clyde in the search for missing man Catalin Stan.

Formal identification is still to take place, but police say the 37-year-old's family have been informed after the discovery in Hamilton.

Romania-born Catalin was last seen at the Days Inn, Hamilton Services at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 2.

It is believed he had gone missing on Wednesday, August 26.

Police Scotland say formal identification has yet to take place but his family has been informed.

A statement said: “Police Scotland can confirm that at around noon on Monday, 7 September, 2020, the body of a man was recovered from River Clyde in Hamilton.”
