POLICE Scotland officers searching for a missing Perthshire man found his body on Christmas Day, it was revealed today.
Mark Wilson, 36, a father of three, had been reported missing on 18 December when he disappeared from the farm where he stayed with his parents between Auchterarder and Crieff.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said today: “Police Scotland can confirm that a body of a man was discovered on open ground in the Auchterarder area of Perthshire at about 2.40pm yesterday.
“The deceased was spotted by a member of the public. He has since been formally identified as being 36 year-old local man Mark Wilson.”
He continued: “Mr Wilson had been reported missing on 18 December and had been the subject of police enquiries to trace him. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
