Body found in search for missing teenager Sonny Hogan

A body has been found in the search for a teenager who went missing from his home on Friday evening.

Schoolboy Santino Hogan - who is known as Sonny - was last seen around 6pm on Friday, when the 16-year-old left his home address on Main Street, Glenfarg, near Perth.

The disappearance prompted a major emergency services response and a search was launched.

This afternoon, police revealed that a body was found in a park in the village earlier today.

A spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Sunday January 17 the body of a male was found in a park in Glenfarg.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"Formal identification is yet to take place however it is believed to be 16-year-old Santino Hogan who had been reported missing from his home in Glenfarg.

"His family have been made aware."
