Body found in hunt for man

DIVERS searching a river in Moray as part of a renewed hunt for a man who disappeared more than six weeks ago found a body yesterday.

The body of the unidentified male was recovered from the River Lossie in Elgin by Grampian Police underwater search unit.

The divers had been deployed to search the river as part of the investigation into the disappearance of Gordon Bremner, 54, from the Kingsmills area of Elgin. He was last seen alive on 28 November when he was dropped off by a taxi near the Royal Bank of Scotland in the High Street.

A Grampian Police spokesman said: "The body has not been formally identified yet, but Mr Bremner's family have been kept informed."
