Bobby back to former glory

ONE of the Capital’s best-known pubs has reopened following a month-long restoration project aiming to recapture its past glory.

Greyfriars Bobby’s Bar on Candlemaker Row has been returned to an earlier incarnation following a sympathetic makeover that saw transformations to both its frontage and interior.

The pub, which occupies the ground floor of a Georgian house believed to have been built in 1820, was officially relaunched last Tuesday.

The name of the bar is inspired by the Edinburgh
legend.
