Bike smash witness plea

POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses after a cyclist was left seriously 
injuried after being knocked down by a car.

The 52-year-old man was struck by a blue Peugeot 307 on Bankhead Drive, Sighthill, at about 5.55am on Monday. He suffered serious pelvic and leg injuries, and is still being treated at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
