Big day for M&S revamp

MARKS & Spencer is to unveil its revamped store at the Gyle Shopping Centre next week.

More than 30 jobs have been created at the shop as a result of the changes. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place next Thursday at the branch, which has been at the Gyle for nearly 20 years.

A day of entertainment at the store will mark the event, including an in-store DJ, personal shoppers, fashion stylist and chef demonstrations.

The renovations have
allowed the store to increase the number of food and drink products on offer by 10 per cent and the bakery is larger, says the retailer. A new deli counter will feature the country’s first M&S pasta-making machine.
