The best beauty advent calendars for 2018

It may only be October but festive goodies are already starting to line store shelves, with a string of advent calendars launched ready to countdown to Christmas - including many from coveted beauty brands.

A sell out each year, this iconic calendar is home to 24 miniature Jo Malone products from candles to bath oil.

Housed in the chic town-house box, the calendar costs £300, which given the retail price of the brand’s products, isn’t too surprising but is most certainly one for the wishlist for most.

Mac

Good news for Mac fans as they have recently announced that they are launching their first ever advent calendar – and its brimming with cult favourites.

The calendar – dubbed ‘Shiny Pretty Things’ – is home to a mixture of 24 mini and full size Mac products that will excite beauty lovers.

The beauty calendar will be available to buy in stores on Thursday 18 October, as well as from the Mac website for a hefty £125.

Diptyque

Count down to Christmas with this decadent, fragrant calender, which is home to 25 treasures including 35g candles, 10ml perfumes and the big one – a Sapinde Lumière70g candle.

Ideal for fans of the French brand, this one is a budget buster at £320.

Net a Porter

Launched on the 1 October, luxury online retailer Net-a-Porter’s beauty offering has brands such as Le Labo, Charlotte Tilbury and Hourglass.

The result is an impressive mix of skincare, makeup, haircare and spa-like body products that will delight any beauty aficionado.

At £150 it’s not as expensive as some other, and includes some well-known names, but it is up there as a luxury buy.

Feel Unique

The discount beauty website, has launched an advent calendar for £75 but which contains £250 worth of products.

Names range from Murad, Percy and Reed and Sleek, and will give 24 days of beauty treats throughout December.

ASOS

If mini Benefit and Mac products are your idea of a festive treat then take a look at ASOS’s advent calendar.

At £55, it is much cheaper than the brand’s own products and contains 24 minis including Benefit’s Hoola Light and Mac Strobe Cream.

Look Fantastic

Another discount beauty website, Look Fantastic, has launched its Christmas countdown offering and it is crammed full of minis worth over £300.

There’s products from ESPA, GlamGlow and Emma Hardie all for £79.

If you’re a fan of Disney’s Snow White, then this bargain calendar is the perfect treat this Christmas.

The Gloss beauty calendar is one of the best bargain buys out there at only £12.50.
