His mother Marina has used the social network sites of Facebook and Twitter to appeal for information in trying to trace her son.

She said: “Help me find my son. Thomas Fraser missing since leaving Belladrum Festival, Highlands, Scotland, 4th Aug.”

Sergeant Gerard Orr of West End Police Office in Glasgow said: “Tom hasn’t been missing before and it is out of character for him not to contact his family and friends.

“Since Tom was reported missing, officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries in relation to his whereabouts, and have followed up a number of lines of enquiry, but we have so far been unable to trace him.

“I would urge anyone with information that may assist police enquiries, or indeed I would ask Tom himself to contact West End Police Office on 0141 532 3350 or call 101 the non-emergency number for Police Scotland.”

Tom is described as white, 5ft 7in height and of stocky build with light brown hair and stubble.

When he was last seen he was wearing a khaki green long parka jacket and dark coloured jeans.
