Bar rampage vandal in jail

Lee Graham, 23, of Oxgangs Street, Edinburgh, admitted trying to force open a till at St Ronan's Hotel in Innerleithen, Peeblesshire, on Sunday. He also pleaded guilty to smashing glasses, a table and various other items.

Graham appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court. Sentence was deferred for background reports.

Sheriff Kevin Drummond refused an application for bail after studying Graham's record of previous convictions which he described as "pretty impressive."

Graham was remanded in custody until 12 May, when the case will recall at Peebles Sheriff Court.
