Banned GP still waiting

A GP who has been banned from practising for the past five years will need to wait another three months to find out if he can work again.

Edinburgh doctor Colin Brown fell foul of the General Medical Council after battling a cocaine addiction and was struck off.

At a hearing held this week, the GMC's Fitness to Practice panel deferred its decision on Dr Brown's appeal for the return of his licence until August.
