Bank in talks over 'affair'

Royal Bank of Scotland is in discussions with the Financial Services Authority after concerns were raised over the effect of Sir Fred Goodwin's alleged affair on the bank's 2008 collapse.

A court relaxed an order preventing media from reporting that Goodwin had a "sexual relationship" on Thursday.

"We are co-operating fully, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage," an RBS spokeswoman said.
