Bajo makes career strides as 200m sprint sets new record

SPRInter Morro Bajo has taken his latest strides towards stardom after he set a new 200m record.

Gambian-born Morro completed the race in just 22.3 seconds for Edinburgh Athletic Club at Grangemouth, the best time ever recorded by a runner in his age group in the Scottish Young Athletes League competition.

Morro was helped to return to the Capital and resume his promising sprinting career earlier this year by Evening News readers. He had been forced to return to his native Africa when he was asked to leave school.
