Baby was killed when mother sat on her

Religious fanatic Julia Lovemore, 41, of Milton, near Cambridge, was detained under mental health legislation after admitting the manslaughter of daughter Faith last June.

At a hearing in Cambridge Crown Court, judge Mr Justice Cooke was told a health visitor and psychiatric nurse were at Lovemore's home on the day Faith was smothered.

They had been concerned about Lovemore's husband David, 39 – also a disturbed religious fanatic, the court heard. They had left the house fearing they were agitating him, but Faith was dead by the time specialist help arrived.
