Attempted murder in West Lothian sparks appeal

The incident, which saw a 21-year-old man rushed to hospital with an injury to his torso, occurred at around 8am on Friday at a house on Mosside Road, Blackburn.

The man is understood to have left the address after the attack and driven towards St Kentigern’s Academy before calling the emergency services.

He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and is currently detained in a stable condition.

Officers are now appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the Mosside Road area on Friday morning.

Detective Sergeant David Macmillan said: “We are currently following a positive line of enquiry, however are eager to speak to any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident, or who have seen any suspicious activity in the Mosside Road area on Friday, is asked to contact police immediately.”
