Attack outside party venue

A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted down a lane just yards from a busy birthday party at a social club.

Strathclyde Police said the woman, 32, was attacked by a man between 12:15am and 1am on Sunday in the lane near Kilfinan Road in Shotts, North Lanarkshire.

At the time the Bon Accord Football and Social Club, across the road from where the attack happened, was busy with people attending a party.

The woman suffered facial injuries during the attack but did not need to go to hospital. However, she was said to be “extremely shaken”.
