Attack leaves youth scarred

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted and left with what may be permanent scarring.

The 19-year-old man was in Beechwood Road, Blackburn, at around 10pm on Monday night when he was approached by two men who attacked him, cutting his face and hand. The suspects then ran off and may have used a dark-coloured car to leave the area. Both suspects were described as having Glasgow accents.

A police spokesman said: “This man has suffered an injury which may leave a permanent scar as a result of an entirely unprovoked attack.”
