Artists celebrate 25 years at St Columba's exhibition

THE Art Friends of St Columba's Hospice Exhibition will mark its 25th anniversary with this year's event.

The exhibition, at Freemasons Hall on George Street, gives visitors the chance to purchase original, affordable artwork, with proceeds going to the hospice.

Works from around 100 well-known artists including Margaret Ballantyne, John Brown RSW, Chris Bushe RSW, Michael Clark and Avril Jaques will be for sale.

Some of those exhibiting have shown their art every year since the exhibition began, including writer and artist Aileen Paterson, creator of children's book series Maisie.

The exhibition is open from 11am to 7pm on June 2 and 3, and from 11am to 5pm on June 4.
