Artist Jack up for award

YOUNG artist Jack Henderson, who raised more than £16,000 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation by selling his drawings, has been shortlisted for the Charity Champion at this year's Scottish Charity Awards.

The six-year-old from Prestonpans, who is given donations in exchange for his popular sketches, raises money for the hospital his baby brother Noah attends, but has become an internet sensation in recent months.

Jack's dad Ed, 35, said: "We are so delighted Jack has been shortlisted.

"Jack Draws Anything has been a real family affair and we are just happy to have been able to raise money for the Sick Kids' Friends Foundation."

The awards will be held at Mansfield Traquair on June 16.
