Artist in frame for £30k prize

AN artist with an eye for business is in the running to be Scotland’s next top entrepreneur – which comes with a £30,000 prize.

Julie Read, from Midlothian, developed the company Portfolio-Oomph, which aims to help students prepare for further or higher education by providing support on portfolio presentation and interview techniques.

She was due to compete in a Dragons Den-style format at the New Start Scotland exhibition at the weekend.
