Art book to mark gallery milestone

Graphic designers, urban artists, Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and the National Galleries of Scotland have joined forces to mark the reopening of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.

The gallery’s last show before it shut for redevelopment in 2009 was Rough Cut Nation, an exhibition which brought street art into the Victorian building. One of the first publications after the gallery reopens after its £17.6 million refurbishment marks the event. Rough Cut Nation, the book, will be published on December 9.

Featuring artwork from the show, it was created by award-winning ECA students.
