Arrest after man, 28, is found injured

A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted murder of another man who was found lying in a garden with serious head injuries.

The victim, aged 28, was discovered outside a property in Braeside Road North, Gorebridge, Midlothian, at about 4am on Saturday.

He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he was said to be in a serious condition.

Lothian and Borders Police said they believed a party was being held at the address at the time.

The force said yesterday that a 27-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

The man is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court tomorrow.
