Arrest after angler drowns in canal

A MAN was arrested and questioned on suspicion of murder yesterday after an angler was allegedly pushed into a canal during a fishing competition.

Police were called to Sankey Valley Park in Warrington, Cheshire, on Saturday morning where the body of Harry Morris, 57, was recovered from the water.
