Armed man threatens woman in car

Police in Glasgow are hunting an armed man who threatened a woman before stealing her vehicle in a carjacking incident.

The 30-year-old had just parked her gold Vauxhall Astra convertible in Hotspur Street, Glasgow, at about 10pm on Thursday when the man approached her.

He threatened her with a weapon and demanded her car keys. The terrified victim handed over the keys and he left with the car along Hotspur Street in the direction of Garrioch Road.

The woman was uninjured but was left very badly shaken by the incident, police said.

The suspect is described as being a white male, in his 30s with a medium build and wearing a grey hooded top.

The vehicle has not yet been recovered
