Apprentices abseil bridge

A GROUP of young apprentices is flying high after completing the Forth Bridge abseil in aid of a children’s charity.

The 11 ScotRail Customer Service Modern Apprentices decided to take on the 165ft SAS-style abseil in aid of the NSPCC.

The group managed to raise more than £2500 for the charity, including a £300 donation from ScotRail’s parent company, FirstGroup.

Jamie Proudfoot, programme co-ordinator for the Modern Apprenticeship, joined them for the abseil, and said: “I am very proud of the team for taking on such a tough challenge.”
