Angels defy the gloom

AN investment syndicate from the Capital has ploughed nearly £5 million into Scottish business in the last year, it has emerged.

Edinburgh-based investors from Archangel Informal Investment defied economic gloom to contribute £4.88m in 2011 and continued to benefit from the support of the Scottish Investment Bank, which invested £1.9m alongside the business angel syndicate last year.
