All eyes on hawks’ nest

AN intimate look at the breeding season of Scotland’s smallest bird of prey has been set up on the internet.

A CCTV camera has been placed in the Sparrowhawk nest situated in Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Gardens.

Images showing the female adult incubating six eggs have already been recorded.

The Date With Nature project has previously allowed visitors to watch images from the nest at the Botanics’ John Hope Gateway.
