Alison Di Rollo to head Edinburgh sex crime team

A SCOTS lawyer has been hailed as the “natural choice” to head a Capital-based unit tackling sex crimes.

Senior advocate depute Alison Di Rollo, deputy head at the National Sex Crimes Unit since 2011, will step up to replace Gillian Wade in the top job after she left to become Crown Counsel.

Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland QC said: “Alison has played a crucial role as deputy head of the unit and is the natural choice to build on the leadership of Gillian Wade in tackling this very complex type of crime.”
