Aldi branch sold for £4m

THE Edinburgh branch of budget supermarket Aldi has been snapped up by an investor in a multi-million-pound deal.

Property firm CBRE Investors has bought the Gorgie Park Road outlet for 3.8 million on behalf of one of its clients.

The change of ownership on the 1.5 acre site will not impact the operations of Aldi, which has a 25-year lease of the building.

Dermit Smith, director with Colliers International, which masterminded the sale, said: "The property ticked all the right boxes."
