'Agitated' man safe and well

A MAN who sparked a police hunt after he was seen walking through Livingston waving his arms and talking to himself has been found safe and well.

The man was seen walking in the extreme cold weather in a "confused and agitated state".

Police feared he may have been ill, or delirious with hypothermia.

He was seen on Houston Road and near the junction at Ladywell and Knightsbridge.

He was traced by officers on the A71 near Polbeth at 9pm on Thursday. The man, who has mental health issues, was admitted to St John's Hospital.
