Ageing wind farms now on the agenda

WIND farm development is still accelerating in Scotland, but plans are afoot to take down some of the oldest turbines.

A conference today will hear the industry is for the first time deciding what to do with turbines and infrastructure such as roads and tonnes of concrete bases when a wind farm reaches the end of its life.
